Mediterranean Madness…

June 25th, 2006

Kim Cavender is a talented polymer clay artist that I met during the Winter CHA show & Clay Carnival in Las Vegas this year.

She demonstrated this wonderful Mediterranean tile cane during the show, and I remember thinking…I should try that!

Well months went by & I had forgotten about the cane until I saw her beautiful work featured on the cover of Polymer Cafe magazine this month.

I gave it my best shot this weekend and made a couple of bracelets and the pendant necklace shown here.

I used Kato polymer clay in ultra blue, black, & white…but you could just as easily use Premo! Sculpey, or another brand of your choice. The spacer beads are sterling silver & clear Swarovski crystal. The multi-strand pendant necklace is from Fire Mountain Gems.

You did a beautiful job, Laura! I’m jealous! :) (P.S. Happy Anniversary – twice over!)
