Stamping on Dominoes…

Stamping

Domino BraceletHere’s a fun & quick project to give as a gift or keep for yourself. Altered dominoes have been quite popular for the past few years, and I finally bought some a few months ago to experiment with. I made several bracelets that I submitted to a magazine for publication. This particular one was returned, so I am able to post it here. I highly suggest buying pre-drilled dominos from someplace like SundayInt. But if you have a set at home you want to alter into jewelry…I just suggest you wear a dust mask while drilling. These suckers will fill your lungs with plastic pretty quickly. (Yes, I speak from experience)!

Quick Instructions:
Domino Bracelet - View 2 Start by drilling your dominos, lightly sanding them and dyeing the back & sides with alcohol ink (I used Ranger alcohol ink here). Then stamp your image using black StazOn (or color of your choice). I colored in my dominos with LuminArte’s Primary Elements. Seal with an acrylic spray sealer, string with beads, & you are done! Here are some views of the different beads I stamped in this example… (Stamp credits: Hero Arts, Stampabilities, Hampton Arts)Domino Bracelet - View 3
