Here’s a fun asterik hello card I made last week. The chipboard was stamped with a Hero Arts Hello! sentiment and the hi is from the Olivia cuttlebug alphabet. Striped pattern paper from Christina Cole.

Thanks goes out to Cambria Turnbow for her great tutorial on these cute paperclip bookmarks. They are a blast to make with the Cuttlebug. I finally picked one up today and it is so much fun! Will hopefully post some other projects with it soon.
(Paperclips are Wal-Mart, patterned paper is Making Memories & Basic Grey, inked edges are Ranger’s Nick Bantock ink in Van Dyke Brown.)

I finally took my new macro lens out for a test run this past weekend. The Arboretum was having their Dallas Blooms festival, and it was an amazing sight! The earth was exploding with gorgeous flowers. The poppies & tulips were particularly beautiful. I also captured some great images of daisies, iris, daffodils, and more… over 150 photos in all. I’m posting some of my favs in the new “photography” section of my gallery. Here is a sampling, but click here to go the gallery and see them all.

I entered the polymer clay central challenge this past month. The theme was “Face the Music” and I’m very excited to say that my piece (a stamped necklace with acrylic patina) won 2nd place.
All of the entries were notable including an amazingly detailed box cover with instruments and an explosion of red roses as well as a wonderful replica of an old-fashioned Victrola made completely of polymer clay. Here’s a link to pictures of all the entries.
