Stardust Art Doll #2

Polymer Clay

Thanks goes again to local Polymer Clay artist Lisa Renner for teaching this fun art doll design! My sister-in-law, Renee, rarely has the opportunity to attend any polymer clay guild functions or workshops since she lives a distance away, so I had a doll-making session with her over the holiday and we each made a magical fairy to take home with us.

The doll armature is foil & plaster wrap…which was then painted & embellished with glitter. The hands, head, turban, & stars are made from polymer clay. The fairy wings are from a butterfly in the floral section of a craft store and have been painted with LuminArte’s Primary Elements.

Here is a pic of Renee’s creation. I love that her fairy is throwing her star up into the air rather than having it dangle down. Very creative and the color on the wings is beautiful!
