I made this polymer clay mosaic from a basic wooden craft frame. It was inspired by the work of Laurie Mika (a wonderful polymer clay artist specializing in tiled pieces). You can see her work here. The outer black & white tiles are ceramic which I grouted with black grout. The inner pieces are all hand-made from polymer clay and were painted with Primary Elements made by LuminArte. The wings were made using a Barbara McGuire stamp & the heart was fashioned from polymer clay as well.
