Happy Mother’s day to all you moms out there! I don’t know what I’d do without the love and support of my own. Here’s an image of the card I sent her this year. Mom has the magical ability to grow the most beautiful flowers in her garden (something I definitely didn’t inherit!), so I wanted to send her something with that in mind.

This is another darling Marci image from La La Land Crafts that has been colored with Copics.

Just thought I’d share my most recent canvas creation with you. This painting made in the “she-art” style for a friend’s birthday. She loves to read, and I knew I had to make her a piece incorporating books. The girl was made from scratch using Pink Paislee She Art papers.

Am loving the mixed media process. It can get messy (think acrylic paint everywhere!), but is so satisfying! And i keep finding neat things to incorporate. Yes, i admit that the doily in this painting came from under a dish at afternoon tea with a friend. *lol*. You know you have an addiction when…

May Copic club – polymer clay air-brushed pendants

I love playing around with different media and discovering how you can use them in new and different ways. I recently discovered that polymer clay can work great with Copic markers.

On Saturday, May 19 at 9:30 a.m., I’ll be teaching a class on just that…creating polymer clay pendants from scratch and customizing them with your favorite Copic colors using an airbrush system. It is very simple to do… no prior polymer clay experience is required. Here are four samples of the types of pendants that will be made:

Copic I and II

I’ll be teaching two introductory Copic classes at Googly Eyes and Craft Supplies next Saturday, May 12th. We’ll be covering all the basics on using Copics as well as making some fun card projects.

In Copic I, we’ll be discussing various methods of blending, shading, color theory, and will make the below two cards:

In Copic II, we’ll be covering more advanced techniques and complete the below Marci summer-themed card. Isn’t she fun?
