Hi Renee,

I'm using the Pilot "replacement" for the permawriter called the G2. I picked up retractable ones at the pharmacy in both fine & medium point. They work great...just like the ones in Christy Tomlinson's She Art videos. They don't dry right away so you can "erase" and re-do if necessary. And when they dry, they seem to do well and not smudge at all. :)

Hi Lesley-

You have one of two choices with the nestabilities to create your own card base:

1) You can fold your cardstock in half, and run it through with the top of your scallop nestabilities die slightly hanging over the fold (so you keep the flat edge on top). -or-
2) You can cut out two separate scallop nestabilities pieces and score one of them about 1/4 of the way down and adhere the top section to the front piece. The "fold" then falls on the back of your card base and opens up so that 3/4 of the inside of the card is visible. Make sense?

Hope that helps. And happy cardmaking!
