I bought a package of Provocraft flower brads recently. Had no idea what to do with them, but I thought they were too pretty in the package to pass up. Ever had that problem?
I pulled them out today & decided to make a card with some of the red, cream & brown ones.

I think the original concept was to make one of those cards that has a flap on the front where you can add a message there as well as write on the inside. I started with some folded kraft cardstock, cutting the top piece on a curve & adhering all the brads overlapping each other. I stamped the sentiment (Hero Arts) in chalk ink & added a Real Red cardstock border as well as a scalloped edge (with Provocraft scissors & a 1/8″ hole punch). All was adhered to a chocolate-colored card & the polka dot ribbon was added to bring out the dots in the scallop border. I decided in the end not to have the extra “hidden” message on the front, so I adhered the brad flap down to the card giving it a dimensional look. You could always leave it open & stamp another message like “to you!” on the inside. Thanks for looking!
