Happy Friday everyone!

For CHA this year, I made some “CHA Survival Kits” for everyone working at the Hero Arts booth. I included a personalized, hand-stamped notepad in each kit. They were so fun to make, I decided to share them with all of you!

You can get the downloadable PDF template and instructions from Hero Arts’ site HERE and see pics of the other covers. The template is made to fit over a 3×5″ scratchpad (the cheap kind you can buy in packs of 8-12 at your local office supply store).

Happy Birthday to the Hero Arts Blog!

This week marks the one-year anniversary of the Hero Arts blog! I have had the wonderful privilege of being a part of the HA web design team for the last two years, and am so grateful to be a part of such an incredible team. Hero Arts is truly an exceptional company – both in their products and their people. :)

As part of this week’s celebration, each web artist is contributing single-layer card designs. I designed the card below to show how you can create dimension in just a single layer. There is a youtube video to match as part of Hero’s Watch It Wednesday series. Just click here to go to the blog entry for the supply list and a link to the step-by-step video.

Hi everyone! I’m back from CHA and have many pics to share with you in the coming days. In the meantime, I wanted to share this card I designed for the Hero Arts blog showing you how to use a heart image in an unconventional way. Yes, I know that technically 4-leaf clovers are the lucky ones…but who’s really counting?!? LOL

You can watch a youtube video on how to make this card from start to finish by going to the Hero blog HERE or clicking on the image above. It also lists the complete recipe/supply list. TFL!

Today, Leslie Lightfoot is hosting a color challenge over on the Hero Arts blog. She asked me to make a card using her great 5-color combo, which you can check out HERE. Below is an alternate version of the card using Hero Arts’ ClearDesign Dots & Lines border set on the bottom.

Be sure to check out Leslie’s card & Robyn’s fabulous layout using the same color scheme while you’re there!

Thanks,

I’ll have a Blue Christmas…

Just posting a card that uses some of my fav Holiday tree stamps from Hero Arts (LP123 & LL259). Doing an Elvis theme here with the shades of blue… :)

The textures for the sky & snow were made with Cuttlebug embossing folders (see supply list for details).

Here is a close-up of the trees. I used two shades of chalk ink and accent pearls for tree toppers on each. I also added tiny clear gemstones to the large tree and Stickles to the snow drifts for a little holiday shimmer.

TFL!

Supply List – Stamps: Pocketful o’ Holiday Trees Small, PL: Three Trees, ClearDesign Holiday Tags sentiment (Hero Arts); Winter Notecards (Hero Arts); Crystal Stickles; Swiss Dots & Distressed Stripes embossing folders (Cuttlebug); Holiday and Chocolate & Blueberries Ink Queues (Hero Arts); White Cardstock; dimensional foam dots, Corner Rounder, Medium Accent Pearls (Hero Arts); Small 2mm clear Gemstones (Hero Arts).
